# iCloud and Sharing

## Enable iCloud

1. Sign in to an Apple ID in system Settings and enable iCloud Drive.
2. Allow Daak 2 to use iCloud.
3. Open **iCloud** in Daak 2 to check its status.
4. Open Daak 2 on another device signed in to the same Apple ID and wait for the system to sync.

iCloud sync happens in the background. Network conditions, system state, and data volume affect timing, so a change is not guaranteed to appear immediately on another device.

## Share a Book

1. Open **Book**.
2. Open the edit page for the book you want to share.
3. Enable sharing and send an invitation.
4. After the recipient accepts, the shared book and related records appear on their device.

## Share Accounts and Savings Plans

| Item             | Sharing access              | Description                                                                |
| ---------------- | --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Book**         | Book edit page              | Shares the book and its related records                                    |
| **Account**      | Account edit page           | Shares the account and permitted related content                           |
| **Savings Plan** | Savings plan edit page      | Shares the plan and its records                                            |
| **Market**       | Cannot be shared separately | Investment records in a shared book still appear in that book's statistics |

What a participant can do depends on sharing permissions and whether the related item is editable.

## If Sync Does Not Appear

| Check                  | What to confirm                              |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| **Apple ID**           | Both devices use the intended iCloud account |
| **iCloud Drive**       | iCloud Drive is enabled in system Settings   |
| **Daak 2 permission**  | Daak 2 is allowed to use iCloud              |
| **Network**            | The current network can access iCloud        |
| **Sharing invitation** | The invitation was sent and accepted         |

Do not repeatedly create books or accounts with the same name while sync is incomplete. Wait for sync before deciding whether to repeat an action.
